Teeth Whitening is extremely popular right now. With many poroducts available on the market. For more stubborn discolouration or staining, a professional teeth whitening treatment may be the best solution for you. At Dr Silvio Suardi’s Dental Practice, we strive to help each person create their best smile. For people who would like a whiter smile, Dr Suardi is happy to offer Zoom® Teeth Whitening - the premier teeth whitening procedure.
How Does It Work?
The Zoom® Teeth Whitening method is easy and comfortable. First, we check to see whether you're a candidate for the teeth whitening process. A dental consultation is necessary, and if we detect any severe issues, we will need to attend to them before we can whiten your teeth.
If you're a candidate for Zoom® Teeth Whitening, we coat the gums and soft tissues with a gel for protection. We then apply a layer of the ZOOM! Whitening agent to the front of the teeth before a specially-designed laser light is positioned to activate the whitening treatment.
The whitening treatment is done in four 15-minute sessions, leaving your teeth looking and feeling great.
Most people see their teeth whiten by at least 6-10 shades during the process! Teeth will continue to lighten for 2-3 days following the procedure.
Is Zoom® Teeth Whitening For Me?
Zoom Teeth Whitening only takes an hour and can be ideal for any patient who wants a whiter smile in a short period. The convenience of Zoom® Teeth Whitening makes it a stress-free, simple choice for many of our patients! All our patients also receive a take home touch-up kit as well.
Dental bonding offers a simple and painless way to strengthen and beautify your smile. By spreading a thin coat of resin to the surface of your teeth, your smile can be transformed from lackluster to brilliant in one sitting. The bonding process remedies damaged teeth, repairs chips, banishes discolorations and mends cracks. Bonding can also enhance the color, shape and size of your teeth for a more harmonious look. No anesthetic injections are required for the procedure, and you’ll agree, the end result is a natural, healthy smile with no sign of damage or stains.
Veneers are an alternative to crowns and can last for many years. They have a natural appearance and are stain resistant. Some benefits of veneers include:
Veneers can quickly correct small gaps, minor rotations and overlaps
Ceramic Crowns and Overlays
A damaged tooth that still has a healthy foundation can be protected and visually improved with the addition of a crown or overlay. Porcelain crowns, also called caps, are natural-looking covers that fit securely over a compromised tooth to correct breaks, fractures or stains. To prepare your tooth for a crown or overlay, we will make some adjustments to your existing tooth, ensuring a proper fit.

Gaps in your smile are no laughing matter, as they can lead to the drifting of surrounding teeth. Dental bridges eliminate gaps by literally bridging the space between missing teeth. Most dental bridges are made of a false tooth that is held together by two crowns. The bridge is then attached to the teeth on each side of the gap. The finished result is a natural, beautiful smile.
Single Dental Implants
Implants are the modern way to replace missing teeth. The implant which is made of titanium is fitted in bone where the tooth root would normally be. When integrated to the bone, a post (or abutment) is attached to the implant and a crown, bridge or denture is then place over the abutment to replace the missing tooth or teeth.
Multiple Dental Implants
Implants can be used to replace multiple missing teeth with implant crowns or implant-supported bridges as part of a smile makeover or full mouth reconstruction.
Multiple implants can be used to securely retain highly aesthetic Cosmetic Dentures.
The implant requires no unique cleaning methods or maintenance. Regular brushing and flossing will ensure that your implant remains in good shape. You must continue to see your dentist at least twice a year for a routine check-up. During those appointments, your dentist can examine the implant and answer any questions you may have.
We use Megagen and MIS C1 Implants exclusively in our practice.
Same Day Dentistry
CEREC is the new standard in high-tech dentistry. It is available for your all porcelain dental crowns, bridges and inlays.

No need for unpleasant impressions or a second injection (it’s all done during the primary visit). Within 90 minutes a tooth can be restored completely. Dr Suardi will take an optical impression with the handy Cerec Omnicam and create a 3D image of your tooth. The virtual model is then used to create a substitute for what has been lost, with the help of CADCAM technology. And then fabricated in our practice with a milling machine Sirona MCX out of a Ceramic Bloc. Further characterization can be completed with staining and glazing of the restoration in our Speedfire Ceramic Oven.
Orthodontics - Braces
Orthodontics is a dental treatment that helps straighten teeth that are positioned incorrectly.
Orthodontic treatment plays a vital role in improving overall oral health and leads to a life-time of healthy and attractive smiles.
Orthodontics do more than just straighten crooked teeth, they also correct irregularities of the bite and facial structures in the mouth and jaw area. The goal in orthodontic dental treatment is to achieve balance and harmony between the teeth and face resulting in a beautiful smile.
The treatment is to achieve the following result:
Who needs orthodontic treatment?
Everyone wants a beautiful smile and orthodontic treatment is the correct procedure to follow to get that perfect smile. An attractive smile enhances self-esteem and builds confidence.
There are different ways of doing orthodontics including:
Removable orthodontic appliances:
This type of orthodontic appliance is used to treat minor problems such as correcting skew teeth or to prevent thumb sucking. The appliance should only be removed when the patient is eating, flossing or cleaning the appliance.
Traditional fixed orthodontics:
This is most commonly used in orthodontics. Examples of fixed orthodontics are braces, fixed space maintainers and special fixed appliances. The patient should avoid eating certain hard foods such as toffee, biltong etc. and will need to visit the dentist once a month to adjust the braces.
A Clear Aligner is an invisible removable cosmetic appliance designed for minor teeth movement. Clear Aligner technology can straighten teeth that are crowded, rotated and tilted forward or backward. Treatment times can be as short as three to six months. We manufacture most of our Clear Aligner Cases in House, from scanning, treatment planning to printing of the 3D models and manufacturing of the Clear Aligners.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Across the world, there are many people who dream to have a better set of teeth; desire to repair the serious deterioration and breakdown of their bite; wish to rid the annoying gaps between their teeth; yearn to stop their clenching and grinding of their teeth that is wearing it down. The solution for this is a combination of cosmetic and dentist procedures known as full mouth reconstruction or rehabilitation. It is a procedure to rectify the relationship between bone, gums, teeth and muscles. It is performed either on some or all of the patient’s teeth, depending on the severity of the complications.
